A child screamed through Morbid saying, “He saved me! I was almost eaten by the creature!”

First time this ever happened in this place. The news of the child’s ranting caused a faint wind in the air. For the first time, in a long time, a light breeze felt pleasant and caused the town to look up from their papers and see what happened.

When the child was brought to the center of town, he started speaking about a mysterious stranger that saved his life. “Someone survived being eaten by the creature?” – The townsfolk thought. “Who could this mysterious stranger be?”

Ashlan continued, “The figure was clothed in black and wore a hood.” Then he continued, “I was gathering seashells when these enormous tentacles lunged at me from the sea. I tried to run away but another one sprang out of the water and slapped my face which knocked me down. I thought I was done for as I felt myself being curled up and dragged to the ocean.”

The townspeople cried, “Then what happened?”

“When I was being pulled, I saw the sea open up and there was a huge hole in the waves. Then a large monstrous mouth was unveiled by the water. It was trying to eat me.”

“Yes, tell us more!”

“Suddenly there was a loud crackling sound and the tentacle let go and crawled back in the sea. When I turned around, I saw someone’s backside. Then it disappeared as fast as I saw it.”

Everyone was amazed with Ashlan’s story. Is this true? Was he really saved by someone, but who?

Who resisted the creature? What happened? How is this possible? Everyone thought they were powerless, but now they wondered. Who is this person?…
